We first dined here early this week. The food was so good we returned yesterday to try different specialties. The Mediterranean bowl with falafel is outstanding and so full of flavor, and their falafel recipe is excellent. Yesterday, I had the falafel flatbread wrap, and it was spectacular! My husband first had the sausage and red pepper Italian sandwich and loved it. Yesterday, he tried the traditional gyro and said it's the best he's ever had. The menu is varied, with something for everyone, including kids. We're long-time residents of the area, and often dine in Longmont. Red Cedar Bistro is now one of my top two favorite restaurants in this area. The service could step it up a bit. However, the restaurant hasn't been open long and isn't yet crowded. I suspect they'll hire more wait staff as their popularity grows.

I tried to get a reservation here a few months ago and it was booked solid on a weekend. I was able to secure a reservation on a Friday night. I now know why it was booked. The food was spectacular. Everything down to the pita was fresh and homemade, you could just tell. Not to mention the server informed us of the same. The service was not only friendly and attentive but they were very knowledgeable about the chef, his history, and what went into each dish. Of all the places we’ve been to in Longmont so far, this was our favorite for dinner. We’ll be back.

My family tried this place for the first time for dinner yesterday evening and we were very pleased with our experience. We ordered a Mediterranean bowl, a cheeseburger, the vegan spanakopita, and the chocolate mousse dessert. Everything tasted phenomenal. The service was good and the vibe was on point. We will definitely be back!

Happily surprised by the great experience at Red Cedar Bistro! Just so happened we showed up for happy hour and was told by our waiter, Derek, that it was wine down Wednesday... half of bottles of vino. He also recommends a few things off the happy hour menu, which we ordered, as well as the seasonal salad. Everything was delicious and very shareable. We ended with an unplanned dessert, the strawberry rhubarb crumble with vanilla ice cream. The ice cream and flavor of the dessert was good but I would have liked more “crumble”. Service was excellent, and there are more things on the menu I’d like to try. Looking forward to returning.

Lovely experience. We actually brought 38 people here on a Tuesday night and they were not just able to fit us all in but they were attentive to our needs, served us as they were able from their small kitchen and were super accommodating to our wheelchair bound member, our gluten free folks, and our vegetarians. The staff was really knowledgeable about their gluten free options and were thankful when our folks were happy to help work around a few missing items like their gluten free flatbread. Everyone was really happy with their food. And the staff knew enough to split us into tables of six and only put in orders when the kitchen was mostly done with a set of orders. So everyone got their food hot and delicious. Everyone loved their meals. The gyros and the lamb bolognese were favorites. Everyone that got a salad said they were fresh and flavorful. One lady got the seafood crepes and was very pleased by them. My husband and I split the bison masala with gnocchi and a Greek salad. The bison shoulder braise was perfectly tender, the masala sauce was nearly as dense with flavor as a real demi-glace (I would not be surprised if it was built on one), the gluten free gnocchi were pillowy and toothsome and held the sauce beautifully and the caramelized roasted carrots were a perfect accompaniment. The salad had plenty of rocket and tiny, sweet, tomatoes and was well dressed. The kitchen also accommodated a last minute to go order for their in-house handmade tiramisu. It was delicious. I loved that they had plenty of non-alcoholic mixed drinks, interesting things with watermelon pulp and various herbs and things like cucumber and rosemary. The one shown is the Cool Water. Still a little sweet for me, but the waiter was very kind and brought me an extra glass and extra soda water so I could water the syrup as much as I wished!! That was a really wonderful extra service I hadn't expected. The beer selection was good and they gave my husband a taster of something else when the keg of beer he'd started out drinking ran out and it was close enough to what he really wanted that he went ahead and ordered it. But our waiter has great initiative on bringing the taster for him to try. It's also great to know that they do their best to source things locally.

Loved the service and the food. The chef obviously uses quality ingredients and makes his own sauces, sausages, pasta, etc. So thankful to have a good culinary experience in Longmont.

Delicious food! Have only done takeout so far but will definitely be going back for in-person dining as well. The raviolo, the mushroom crepe, and both the meat and meatless gyros were fantastic. My one gripe was that the trio of dips came with *very* small portions, and the pitas were over-seasoned - a little too salty. But still would highly recommend!

We found this place not long after they opened when we went downtown looking for an interesting option. We were impressed. Our server seemed a little inexperienced, but it was a minor inconvenience. Later, we returned with friends who were also impressed. Many things on the menu look delicious, and everything we have tried was good. There are vegetarian and pescatarian-friendly options. The apps and smaller dishes are quite good, as well as the entrees. It seems word has spread as when we returned it was quite busy, and despite that the service was good - prompt and friendly. It's nice to know we're supporting local owners, with one running the kitchen and the other out on the floor. They are passionate and professional, and that shows in the food.
